In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 maps and navigation applications on the Android platform in Colombia showed varying trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s an overview of their performance based on Sensor Tower data.

inDrive. Save on city rides demonstrated consistent growth in weekly downloads and active users throughout the quarter. Downloads started at 70.7K and saw a general increase, peaking at 102.2K in the week of December 19. Active users also showed a steady rise from 1.9M at the end of September to a peak of 2.5M in mid-December.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a notable increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads started at 56.2K and fluctuated, reaching a high of 86.3K in the week of December 19. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 544K and ending the quarter slightly higher at 580K.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 40.5K and peaking at 57.5K in mid-December. Active users showed a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, starting at 1.07M and ending at 961K.

Cabify saw a significant spike in downloads mid-quarter, with a substantial increase from 17.7K at the end of September to 55.9K in mid-November. Active users also increased from 200K to a peak of 250K in mid-December, before dropping to 206K by the end of the year.

Uber - Request a ride showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at 19.2K and reaching 38.9K in the week of December 19. Active users also rose from 934K at the end of September to a peak of 1.1M in mid-December, before slightly declining to 983K by the end of the quarter.
